How to stop morning sickness!

If you feel like dinner in coming back up here's a few tips to keep is down. Sit or lay down, a lot of the time morning sickness is your bodies way of saying you are moving too fast! sitting or lay down will help calm your stomach down and stop morning sickness or at the very least stop prevent vomiting though the mild nausea will take a minute to subside. Smell peppermint or ginger, the smell sends comfort signals to your brain to calm it down. It also associates it with medicine or feeling better, many women find eating mints help prevent morning sickness. Eat ginger candy or drink ginger tea, ginger helps sooth your digestive track and will help stop or prevent nausea. Avoid sugar, fat and greasy food, high fats, sugars and oils will upset your stomach and make you want to throw up. Take deep breaths and tell yourself "I'm okay, I don't need to throw up, I'm fine." By doing this you are calming your body down helping it relax. I'm 11 weeks 3 days pregnant and have avoided morning sickness and vomiting by using these techniques. I hope they work for you too, happy pregnancy!

Back and other pregnancy pains

Pregnancy is taking its toll on my back. Laying on my back hurts on my right side makes me nauseous and hurts my lower back. Only relief is laying on my left side walking makes my hips and lower back hurt too! My legs have gotten heavy and sore. Luckily I have a loving man willing to massage peppermint oil on all my sore spots and boy does it help! It soothes me and relaxes all muscles, while fighting any inflammation I have.

Gin-gins and morning sickness

I find Gin-Gins chewy ginger candies to be my new best friend during pregnancy. My favourite is the spicy apple flavour. The ginger helps soothe my tummy and avoid morning sickness. They are sweet but use cane sugar so it doesn't upset my stomach. These are also all natural, vegan, fat and gluten free.

EPIDURAL

I was on the edge with deciding if I want an epidural so I started a post on it on babycenter.com at first I was calmed down and though maybe I'll have one. Now, I don't think I could stand it! I hate having IV's or catheters I hate the idea of a tube being inside me. A TUBE IN MY SPINE NO! I don't like the idea at all and definitely don't like the 1 in 1,000 for temporary damage and 1 in 13,000 for permanent is way to high for my comfort! I got some reassuring messages that going natural will hurt but having a full range of motion is better. Also recovering times seem to be faster going naturally. Most women said their labour was shorter without the epidural so I'm pretty convinced I don't want it. BUT in the end we will see if I can handle the pain come December. Until then I will workout the muscles I need to so I can avoid an epidural the best I can. Maybe they will let me get high instead LMAO JK

Fetus

At ten weeks and two days our little embryo is now a fetus. All my nausea has now subsided and I have found that my appetite has changed. I seem to be hungry more often but for smaller meals. I'm so excited to know my little one has little peach fuzz growing on his little head, the webbing on his fingers and toes are losing their webbing, and the joints are now working and he's kicking up a storm; good thing he's only 3 cm big or that might hurt! Bathroom breaks are getting better. Looking at all the things needed for the baby is discouraging we need so much money! haha! Well on the bright side I find I'm gain more engery.

Working while pregnant

Working is always tiring but lately it feels like it takes more effort than before! The nausea while at work isn't fun but drinking plenty of water and sitting down when I can is very helpful. At work everyone has been very supportive and friendly so there isn't any faces or huffs when I need to be moved to a different till because the bag lifting is making the nausea worse. Or when i need to leave every 30 minutes because the baby decided to push on my bladder. So far at 9 weeks working while pregnant it no issue as a cashier at a grocery store. Except when the smells get overwhelming and make me sick lol

Morning sickness

I have been lucky to spend my 9 weeks pregnant without morning sickness. That being throwing up, I have been nauseous to prevent getting sick I have been drinking ginger and peppermint tea. Using only fresh and organic material. On top of this tea I make sure i drink plenty of water especially before bed so when i wake up in the morning I don't get lightheaded. Avoiding the lightheadedness makes the transition from nonmotion to activity easier on my body making me less likely to get morning sickness as well as having a time everyday when I work out with pregnancy friendly exercises using the the Oh Baby! App for iPhones. Eating a healthy diet where I avoid greasy and spicy foods also helps. My favorite dish right now is a nice green salad with lime and a little sea salt instead of dressing. I hope this helps you out and feel free to follow me for other tips I find helpful as I enjoy my first pregnancy! Thank you for your time <3

9 weeks today

Today marks my 9th week pregnant! I still can't believe there's a little life growing inside of me that is now developing it's arms and legs. I have been fortunate enough not to suffer the plagues of morning sickness, I have been nauseous though. I can't wait for the first trimester to finish and i can enjoy gaining energy again in the second trimester.

Why pregnant women crave pickles!

I have been craving pickles A LOT more than usual. Along with lime and salt on or in EVERYTHING! Which brought me to wonder why the stereotypical joke is about pregnant women craving pickles is all about. Well when we get pregnant our body craves water and salty food -which we confuse for pickle craving- to help us retain this water so the baby can use when he/she needs it. Also the acidity and taste of pickles helps settle our nauseous tummies. So now you know we don't crave pickles we crave salty just happens that pickles are the salty tasting food we think of.

Wolf baby on the way

So today I decided I should write a blog about my experiences being pregnant with my little bundle of joy. I am a new mom, I'm almost 9 weeks pregnant now and the father's last name is Wolf (thats why its called wolf baby dairy). So far I have been lucky to not have morning sickness, I have been slightly nauseous and tired all the time but I've found comfort using babycenter.com to talk to other moms with similar due dates to confirm that my symptoms are normal. Haha, I plan to post as much as I can as a little personal diary.
