Updates

Guess who fell behind on editing? I did :( Yeah, I have slacked off these past few weeks. I'm back on track now, my goal is to have The Love Slave Tales #1 published by the end of November. It's not easy working on a novel and being a stay at home mom plus being a nanny. Wish me luck!

The Sins That Bind Us

Hey check this out Geneva Lee has a new book coming out! On March 19 meet Jude.

"I wasn’t given a choice. Not when I did my first line of cocaine. Not when I became a single mother. But I changed, and every decision I’ve made was to protect myself and my son from my weaknesses—and my past.
Until Jude came along and made me question everything, even my own secrets.
The sins I carry with me can never be discovered. Life handed me broken bits of people and left me to construct my own world, and it’s too fragile to take a chance on Jude
We write our own stories.
We build our own prisons.
We weave our own lies.

We commit the sins that bind us."

I love her books check her out on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram or sign up for her Newsletter!

Funny things my toddler says

So, yesterday my daughter made me laugh so hard I peed! So, I just have to share some of her silliness.

Her: -hands me a business card-
Me: "Oh? Thank you, what kind of work do you do?"
Her: "Not much"
Me: -laughing so hard-
Dad: -walks in- "Did mommy go crazy?"
Her: "No"
Me: -in between laughs- "Tell daddy what kind of work you do?"
Her: "Not much?"
-everyone laughs-
Me: "Crap I laughed too hard!"

A few days ago we were playing with her cousins (both boys)

-baby laying around Tsula brings him his bottle-
Me: "Do you like the baby"
T: "Yeah he's fat" -starts making piggy noises-
Me: "You don't say people are fat that's mean"
T: "I'm mean, -points to baby- piggy"
Aunt: -laughing "I shouldn't be laughing that's mean!"
T: "I'm mean, meanie, MEAN!"

When I asked Tsula what she wants for lunch.

T: -makes chicken noises-
Me: -hands her a plate of nuggets-
T: "Noooo, pop pop pop."
Me: "Eat the nuggets and I'll make you some popcorn"
T: -eats her nuggets-
Me: -hands her a bowl of popcorn-
T: -sticks her face in the bowl making chicken noises-

I love my baby girl she's so silly, she can always make me laugh.

Sick Toddler

So, for the last week my baby girl hasn't been feeling well. She had a runny nose, a cough with phlegm, and a fever. Well after a few days with children Advil failing, the herbalist in me kicked my butt. 3 cups of peppermint and honey tea later, her coughing stopped and her fever went down. Following a friend's advice I rubbed some Vapor rub on the soles ore her feet then *poof* no more runny nose! Her sneezing lessened and soon she was running around wanting to go play. Today is day 2 of her feeling better and it looks like we kicked whatever bu she had. Peppermint tea with honey and vapor rub on feet!

Merger and Excitement

Okay, instead of starting a whole new blog for my author stuff I'm just going to use my mommy blog. I do have a blog on GoodRead and Facebook page for my author stuff too. I won't be flooding my blog with my book stuff and I'll be trying to post more mommy tips soon too. Now pushing past business, today I just found out that one of my favorite authors, Geneva Lee, is releasing a new book next month! Besides getting sick, 2016 looks like it will be a good year!

So it's been a while since I posted last. Well this is why http://www.amazon.com/dp/B01B8VGAXU?ref_=pe_2427780_160035660 I am now a published author!
"Every time Annie finds happiness something happened. Though things in her life had some downs she was finally generally happy everything was falling into place. So of course she would find out that her childhood nightmares were really repressed memories. As the father she thought was dead comes into her life and flips it upside down. Now she must learn to master her powers with the help of an old flame before the men in suits come for her."

exercising and being a stay at home mom

They say you need an hour of exercise a day at least to stay healthy along with eating right. But between chores and baby how do you exercise? Well when the baby is a newborn as long as you eat healthy you should only worry about doing 20 minutes of yoga a day and don't worry about losing the baby weight just yet. You're a new mom it's ok to have a little pouch for the first year. But once your baby can entertain her/himself it's ok to start working out. One way is to do chores while baby naps and exercise in their room while they play. Another way if you take baby to the park you can do stretches on the way their and cardio while s/he plays with the other children. personally I get my chores done while she plays in the living room, but I'm lucky enough to have an open kitchen so I can see her playing from every room in my house. Some moms cook dinner while baby naps and have baby follow and play in the rooms they are working in. Laundry is still a process I was doing it when she went to bed. But I cloth diaper and want to sun them and she wakes up so early it's hard to get it done before she wakes up. My laundry room isn't very baby friendly so I have to get laundry done before dad goes to work so he can watch her for me. once chores are done, I've read her a story and put her down for a nap i do 30 minutes of cardio I get other other 30 minutes done in yoga before bed after she goes to bed.I haven't kept track of how much I've lost but my pants do feel looser. It's all about balance you can do it and you will feel great about yourself when you bring balance to your life.
